Boat & Watercraft Insurance
Coverage for fishing boats, pontoons, and personal watercraft on Minnesota's lakes, plus the trailer miles between them.
In this part of Minnesota the boat is part of the family: fishing rigs on Buffalo Lake, pontoons at the cabin, personal watercraft on summer weekends. Todd writes hull, liability, and equipment coverage matched to how you actually use your boat, including the trailering between home, the launch, and winter storage. He pays attention to the details Minnesota boaters hit in real life: what happens when the boat is on the trailer on Highway 55, how electronics and fishing equipment are covered, and what your policy expects during winter layup. Multiple carriers means the coverage fits the boat, whether it is a well-loved Lund or a new pontoon.

Questions Todd gets asked.
Is my boat covered while it is being trailered?
Your auto policy generally extends liability while towing, but damage to the boat itself comes from the boat policy, and the trailer is often its own line item. Todd makes sure the boat, motor, and trailer are each actually covered on the road, at the launch, and in the driveway.
Do I need coverage in the winter when the boat is in storage?
Yes. Theft, fire, storage building collapse under snow load, and vandalism do not take the winter off. Many carriers offer layup provisions that reflect reduced use while keeping the boat protected. Todd will set that up so you are not paying summer exposure rates on a shrink-wrapped boat.
